- high risk of bacteremia of non-typhoid salmonella in HIV

- diarrhea
- bacteremia occasionally
- predominant in younger children and elderly
diagnosis
treatment
- Cochrane review 2000 concluded that no evidence of clinical benefit of antibiotic treatment of non-typhoid salmonellosis was shown
